STEP 1: To begin, backcomb the top section of your hair with a teasing comb. The trick to knowing if you have enough backcombing is if the hair is standing on end.

STEP 3:Smooth the hair in front with a paddle brush while leaving the volume of the backcombing in the back.

STEP 4: Pin the hair back into place and pull apart at the top to loosen a little.
